The Central Bank of Egypt (CEB) has announced that volume of local liquidity grew to EGP 3.724 trillion at the end of March this year. This volume increased by EGP 270.4 billion within the months from July 2018 to March 2019. The CBE issued a statement says that the growth of local liquidity led to increase in quasi- money by EGP 228.4. The statement linked those to growth of non-current deposits in local currency. Also deposits made by foreigners grew by 3.4%. It is worth to mention that Egypt has introduced a package of economic reforms since 5 years. The international financial institutions supported those reforms to treat chronic ailments of the Egyptian national economy.
