Egypt urges Sudanese parties to exercise restraint

Egypt is closely following up with great interest the current developments in Sudan and its implications.

In a statement released Monday، the Foreign Ministry expressed its deepest condolences to martyrs families، wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

Egypt urges all Sudanese parties to exercise restraint and return to dialogue to achieve Sudanese people’s aspirations، the statement read.

In addition، Egypt affirmed on its full support for the brotherly Sudan in this crucial time to achieve a better future for the Sudanese people based on Stability، development، prosperity and welfare.

Noteworthy، Sudan’s ruling military council spokesman Lieutenant General Shamseddine Kabbashi denied on Monday using force in dispersing the sit-in outside the defense ministry in Khartoum.

In a statement to Sky News TV channel، Kabbashi expressed his hope for the continuation of political dialogue with the forces of freedom and change. "

Sudanese security forces closed the streets in central Khartoum this morning and intensified their presence in an attempt to control the situation there.
