Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Soukry is set to leave for Saudi Arabia on Wednesday to take part in the preparatory meeting of the 14th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) due to be held in Mecca on May 31.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez said the preparatory meeting will discuss regional and international issues topped by the Palestinian cause، terror combat and Ismophobia.
Shoukry will have talks with his OIC foreign ministers on the sidelines of the meeting to discuss issues of mutual concern، concluded Hafez.
Foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries، including Egypt، are scheduled to hold their preparatory meeting for the 14th session of the Islamic Summit on Wednesday.
The ministerial meeting is expected to discuss several regional and international issues of common concern to the Islamic countries، especially the Palestinian cause، terrorism and Islamophobia، as well as issues of joint Islamic cooperation.
The ordinary Islamic Summit is expected to be held in on May 31.
