An explosion at a Natural Gas Pipeline in Alexandria، Karmouz district resulted in 10 cars have been burned on Saturday.

The explosion was a result of digging works at Mahmoudiyah Canal.
Major General Mohamed El Sherif، Director of Alexandria Security Directorate، received a notice over a gas line explosion in Ein al-Sukhna area in Karmouz district during digging at Mahmoudiyah Canal causing the burning of 10 cars.

Immediately، a number of civil protection vehicles were dispatched to the scene and the fire was extinguished.

Noteworthy، A Fire broke out on Thursday in a plastics factory in Menofia governorate، the sixth industry region of Al Sadat city.

The incident resulted in killing three workers and burned their bodies. Immediately the ambulances carried the victims` bodies to Al Sadat hospital.

Eight workers in a contracting company were killed and seven others injured on Thursday due to gas tank explosion at a phosphate factory in the Northern coastal city of Ein al-Sukhna، Suez governorate.

The explosion occurred when the workers were conducting a pilot operation of the tank.
