Cairo International Airport earlier recieved the body of a Palestinian citizen who، according to some reports، was killed in one of Turkey's prisons. The body was handed to the victim's family to be transferred to the Gaza Strip.

The Turkish authorities claimed that Zaki Mubarak، the victim، was a spy to the United Arab Emirates، and that he died after committing suicide. However، it failed so far to support its claims by any evidence.

Zaki Mubarak entered Turkey on March 30، and disappeared only four days later. A complaint was issued by Zaki's brother and daughter's lawyer to Egypt's Attorney General said that on April 19، Zaki's lawyer noted that his client was arrested by the Turkish authorities over false charges.

Cabinet denies raising prices of train tickets in Eidel-Fitr
The Cabinet denied Wednesday raising the prices of all train tickets in Eidel-Fitr and stressed that all the rumors spreading on social media are baseless، according to a statement issued by the Cabinet's media center.

Meanwhile، the ministry asserted its full readiness for Eidel-Fitr holiday، noting that additional trains have been added to be operated during the holiday mainly on the Cairo-Aswan and Alexandria-Aswan routes.

In addition، a number of committees have been formed to ensure that the work flow is regular during the working hours of Eidel-Fitr and accurately monitor the movement of trains and immediately report emergencies، the ministry said.

The ministry called for media outlets and social media users to seek accuracy before spreading such news.

Rapporteur of the National Population Council Amr Hassan told Egypt Today that Egypt is among the top countries in terms of population growth expected to take place between 2018 and 2050.

Egypt ranks seventh with an estimated increase of 69.5 million followed by the United States with a rise of 61.6 million. The top six are India (308.8 million)، Nigeria (214.7 million)، Democratic Congo (131.6 million)، Pakistan (106 million)، Ethiopia (83.4 million) and Tanzania (79 million).

Hassan says that the Egyptian and German populations were respectively 23.5 million and 71.5 million in 1955. However، the growth in Egypt was seven times that of Germany. The population increased in Egypt by 75 million to become 98.5 million. In Germany، the population rose by just 11 million to become 82.5 million.
