Veteran actor، Zaki Faten Abdel Wahab broke his silence about being diagnosed with cancer and spoke about it for the first time.
Fattin stated in a phone interview broadcasted on "Al-Hayat Al-Youm" program that he treats the disease like a cold، adding that he underwent two chemotherapy sessions and that his condition is stable.
"I am fine and living my life normally" Zaki added.
He admitted that he was a chain-smoker and after getting cancer he cannot smoke again.
Abdel Wahab talked about his future projects: " I am trying to prepare for a program about the Egyptian comedy because it is necessary for the makers for joy in Egypt to be appreciated، topped by late my father."
On May 10، Abdel Wahab revealed in a post through his official account on “Facebook” that he has cancer.
“My dear Friends، I discovered that I have lung cancer،”، Zaki said، adding “I am ok، don’t Worry”.
“I will strongly face the disease، and will deal with it as a simple headache like Actor، Farouk al Fishawy”، Zaki said.
Noteworthy، Zaki Faten Abdel Wahab is an Egyptian actor. He was born on February 18، in 1961 to one of the most prominent superstars in the Arab world in her era، Egyptian singer and actress، Leila Murad and to prominent director Faten Abdel Wahab. He graduated in 1983 from the High Institute of Cinema.
Zaki worked as second unit and assistant director with ‘Aly Badrakhaan and with Youssef Chahine in “Adieu Bonaparte i.e. Farwell Bonaparte” and “Al-yowm al-saades i.e. The sixth day”.
He also was the location manager of American films and miniseries shot in Egypt like “Fortunes of war”، “Mysteries of Egypt” and “The mummy returns”. His only film as director is “Romantica (1996)”.
