Reports about the death of one of the most prominent Egyptian stars، actor Youssef Shaaban circulated the social media on Tuesday.
A member of the Board of Directors of the Actors' syndicate، actor Ayman Azab، denied in an exclusive statement to "Sada el Balad"، the circulated news، stressing that the rumour is baseless.
Noteworthy، Youssef Shaaban is an Egyptian actor. He was born on July 16، in 1936، in Cairo.
He played several stage roles and caught many an eye. Great cinema director Hassan al-Emaam gave him a leading role in “Al-mo’geza i.e. The miracle” and several roles; “Zokaak al-madakk i.e. Madakk alley”and “Baae’at al-garaaed i.e. The newsgirl”.
Shaaban excelled in TV series like “Raafat al-Haggaan”، “Haala wal-daraweesh i.e. Haala and the Dervishes”، “Eilet al-Doghry i.e. Doghry’s family” and “Al-taw’am i.e. The twins”.
Youssef married actress Laila Taaher، actress Sihaam Fat-hy and her Highness Princess Nadia Sherine mother of his daughter Sainaa.
In his early life، Youssef Shaaban was the racehorse in cinema especially in “Miramar” and “Hammaam al-Malateely” then gradually went to TV.
Starting 1997، Sha’ban was elected head of Actors' syndicate for two consecutive periods.
