Saudi Arabia on Tuesday confirmed the death of two of its citizens in a series of bombings in Sri Lanka.

"The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Sri Lanka mourns its citizens Ahmed Zain Al Jaafari and Hani Majid Othman، who died on Sunday following the criminal terrorist attack in the city of Colombo،" the official Saudi embassy in Sri Lanka account has tweeted.

"We ask God to accept them with His mercy and to inspire their people patience and solace،" the Saudi embassy added.

Noteworthy، a series of bombings hit Sri Lanka on Easter day، killing 321 people and injuring about 500 people.

Amid fears of further attacks، Sri Lanka's national police force has told its officers to be on the lookout for vehicles that could be used in suicide blasts، including a lorry and a van believed to be packed with explosives.

A British father has lost his entire family in the attack.

The total death toll has already exceeded 300.
