“Euro News” Satellite Channel broadcast on Thursday a report on a project carried out in St. Catharine Monastery in the south part of Sinai Peninsula to save the antique bibles there. A team of Greek experts use sophisticated methods to image thousand pages of torn bibles dated back to centuries. They seek to digitalize those scriptures as some of them are considered among the oldest copies in the world. The produced copies are high quality ones. It is worth to mention that St. Catharine is one of the most ancient monasteries all over the world. Library of that monastery houses some 4500 manuscripts، about 1100 of them were written in Arabic and Syraic languages.
