More than five million Britons signed a petition demanding the government to abolish Brexit and stay in the European Union.
The petition calls on the British government to reconsider Article 50 of the Lisbon Agreement on Britain's exit from the European Union، thereby allowing Britain to remain in the Union.
Organizers of the petition said more than a million people had circled central London in recent days to demand a "popular vote" on the Brexit، in the hope that this would allow Britain to remain in the European Union.
The European Court of Justice ruled in December 2018 that any state had the right to return by unilateral decision to the European Union، without consulting the rest of the Member States.
The woman who launched the petition deactivated her account on Facebook because of death threats from loyalists to Brexit.
"Yesterday evening، I received three death threats over the phone،" said the woman، Margaret Ann Giorgado.
