The Arab-European Summit is set to kick off in Sharm al-Sheikh on Sunday February 24 as More than one country has announced its participation in the two-day summit، which is considered an important step for the development of the relations between the two sides.
The two-day summit will gather، for the first time، heads of the member states of the Arab League and the European Union.
An Austrian Newspaper described the Summit، as a historic event that will push forward the Arab-European relations to a new level.
the newspaper added that the forthcoming summit will contribute to enhancing the political and economic relations between The Arab and European countries، as the participants will discuss Trade، investment، Security، Immigration، civil war، fields، in addition to recent conflicts in a number of the region countries.
Moreover، the newspaper highlighted Egypt significant role in combating illegal immigration.
It is scheduled that Austrian Chancellor، Sebastian Kurz، German Chancellor، Angela Merkel، and Britain Prime Minister، Theresa May will attend the anticipated summit.
The Summit will be co-shaired by President al-Sisi and President of European Council، Donald Tusk، The Newspaper noted.
