The Arab-European Summit is set to kick off in Sharm al-Sheikh on February 24 as More than one country has announced its participation in the two-day summit، which is considered an important step for the development of the relations between the two sides.
In this regard، European Union (EU) Ambassador to Egypt، Ivan Surkos said that The Arab-European Summit meetings will be held at the level of heads of states and governments.
In press statements، Surkos added that EU representatives، including the presidents of the European Council، the European Commission and the member states of the League of Arab States will take part in The Conference.
Moreover، Surkos confirmed that Egypt- the Hosting Country- and The President of European Council، Donald Tusk will chair the conference.
Surkos considered the conference as an opportunity to enhance coordination and cooperation between the members of The EU and the Arab league in order to achieve stability and prosperity in both European and Arab regions.
Trade، investment، immigration، security، in addition to latest developments in the region will top The Arab-European Conference discussions، Surkos added.
