As strategic economic and security partners، Egypt and the United States have engaged in ongoing collaborative efforts to expand commercial ties، increase foreign direct investment، ensure safe transit through the Suez Canal، modernize the Egyptian military and fight terrorism.
Egypt’s Prime Minister، Moustafa Madbouly received on Sunday The American-Jewish committee delegation، which is currently visiting Egypt، to discuss ways to enhance cooperation ties between Egypt and US، in the presence of Assistant Foreign Minister for North and South American Affairs، Ambassador، Reda Habib.
At the outset of the meeting، Madbouli praised the committee’s significant role in boosting bilateral relations between Egypt and US، and its keenness to continue coordination and consultations with Egypt regarding various regional and international issues of common interests.
Moreover، Madbouli stressed on Egypt’s keenness to enhance strategic relations with US، hailing the US Support، and military aids over the past three decades، especially in the light of recent circumstances، as Egypt is engaged in a war against terrorism and extremism.
On the other hand، The American-Jewish Committee assured that Egypt is the pillar of stability in the Middle East and an indispensable partner of the United States thanks to its efforts to bring peace to the region.
Moreover، the committee delegation hailed the Egyptian government interest to restore the Jewish monuments in Egypt and the preservation of historical manuscripts.
In this regard، PM commented saying، “These monuments are an integral part of Egyptian history and cultural heritage، like the Islamic and Christian ones”.
