Sherine's interview with Wafaa Elkilany

TV Presenter، Wafaa Elkilany hosted Monday evening Egyptian superstar، Sherine Abdel Wahab on her program “Takhareef” broadcasted on “MBC1” Satellite channel.

During the interview، the Egyptian superstar addressed many personal issues including her OCD، sexual harassment، suicide attempt، how she fell in love with her husband، Egyptian singer Hossam Habib، and praying.

Sherine revealed that she always wished to marry a psychiatrist as she is suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)، explaining that she went to more than one doctor to treat her.

She talked about how she fell in love with her husband، Egyptian singer Hossam Habib، and her fear of losing him.

"I had a very difficult time in my life and I was mentally ill. I was surprised when Hossam Habib stood by me،" she said.

"He invited once to a restaurant، and I did not see him at the time as anything but my darling، and I surprised by myself asking him: "Can we get married?".

"God blessed me with a husband who has a pure heart" she added.

During the interview، the Egyptian superstar admitted that she attempted suicide more than once.

Sherine also that she was sexual harassment more than once، pointing out that she sometimes ignored the verbal harassment، as if she did not hear it.

Abdel Wahab stated that she had slapped some of her harassers، as well as assaulted others with her hands and leg after being harassed.

She talked about her relationship with God، confirming that she prayed throughout her life، but does not do it regularly.

She revealed that her husband likes nail polish and that she it as something unclean، so she never prays while wearing it.

“Takhareef” program is broadcasted weekly on Monday at 08:30 PM (Cairo local time).
