Commander-in-chief of the Egyptian armed forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production General Mohamed Zaki held a meeting with chief of the U.S. Central Command General Joseph Votel and his accompanying delegation currently visiting Egypt.
The meeting tackled a number of issues of common interest in the light of high level of military cooperation and exchange of expertise between the armed forces of both countries. During the meeting، they also exchanged views on developments witnessed by the Arab Region in order to achieve common interests in eliminating terrorism and establishing security and stability.
Zaki stressed the depth of Egyptian-American relations and means of rapprochement and military cooperation، pointing out that these relations are based on many efforts and common positions of both countries.
For his part، the commander of the US Central Command stressed his country's keenness to support the strategic partnership and coordination between the Egyptian and US armed forces، expressing his aspiration that coming period to see more cooperation in a way that meets the common interests of both sides.
