PM: gas fields investments reach $27 billion

Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said on Monday that it is impossible to achieve sustainable development plans، without relying on the petroleum sector because of its vital role in advancing the production process and providing the development and economic sectors with the necessary energy.
in his word during EGYPS 2019 conference، Madbouly added that 2018 witnessed new stages to increase production in four major fields in the Mediterranean.
The investments in gas fields reached 27 billion dollars، while the maximum production rates of them will reach 6.5 billion cubic meters per day، the prime minister revealed.
'Egyps 2019' oil trade conference، kicked off today Monday at Cairo International Convention Centre.
The conference was inaugurated by prime minister Mostafa Madbouly on behalf of president Abd Al Fattah Al Sisi.
The conference lasts from February11 to 13 under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi، in the presence of oil leaders and a number of heads and officials of major international and Egyptian oil companies.
