The Competitions Committee of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) decided Saturday to postpone Al Ahly’s match against its rival of Pyramids to fall after the Cairo derby between Al-Ahly and Zamalek scheduled for March 30.
It is noteworthy that Al-Ahly-Pyramids match was scheduled for February 28.
This comes after the EFA has assigned the Competitions Committee to adjust the dates of matches of competing teams in the Egyptian Premier League.
The EFA said the EPL matches of the three teams of Zamalek، Pyramids and Al-Ahly would be held according to the schedule set previously by the EFA for the tournament.
Zamalek tops the EPL table with 45 points، followed by Pyramids FC with 42 points and Ahly with 39 points. But while Pyramids has played all their 21 games، Ahly and Zamalek have played three fewer.
