The European Union (EU) has launched an initiative to upgrade the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square downtown Cairo. The EU commission has allotted € 3.1 as grant disbursed in the course of three years. The official page of EU on social media platform، Facebook، shed light on that initiative which will be carried out through cooperation between the EU، Ministry of Antiquities and the EM. The EU grant will be used in funding studies such as Egyptology، archeology، documenting the artifacts. It is worth to mention that some experts claim that Egypt houses more than a third of antiquities of the whole world. Various historic eras left civilizations in many parts of the country.
