Editorial Reviews
From publishers weekly
The team behind the ill-conceived Michael Jackson biography 83 Minutes returns to weave together the histories of Freddie Mercury and the disease that took his life، in this clunky and poorly constructed work. Richards and Langthorne use a handful of broad historical coincidences to tie man and illness together in the name of heightening the melodrama that so intensely suffuses their narrative from its beginning.

“The volume will surprise readers expecting a simple fan-focused، photo-filled celebrity biography...And Somebody to Love is a worthy and moving read with new information unknown to even ardent fans." (The Advocate)

“It puts the life and tragic early death of Freddie Mercury into the context of one of the worst health crises of the twentieth century. Not only does it give a portrait of Mercury’s fascinating life، but it provides a concurrent picture of the epidemiology of a virus that has taken tens of millions senselessly…It’s the story of one of the world’s truly great rock stars، warts and all.” (A&U Magazine)

“Fans of Queen and Mercury will have plenty to love in this rock biography، penned by Matt Richards and Mark Langthorne and chock-full of details about their hits—“Bohemian Rhapsody،” “Another One Bites the Dust،” “We Are the Champions،” the band’s show-stealing Live Aid performance in 1985 and much، much more.” (POZ.com)
