French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife، Brigitte Macron began their three-day visit to Egypt on Sunday at the tourist city of Abu Simbel in Aswan.

Macron’s visit to Egypt began with a tour inside the Ramses II temple in Abu Simbel. There he listened to an explanation of the history of the temple، and its engravings about the wars of King Ramses II and the history of Egypt during that period.

They also visited the temple of Hathor and Nefertari، also known as the Small Temple، which was established by her husband Ramses II besides his temple.

Abu Simbel city saw heightened security measures to secure the visit، and the streets were adorned with Egyptian and French flags. Cleaning workers stepped up to clean the streets and the trees on the road to the temple from Abu Simbel Airport، and prepared golf carts to move inside the temple.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and his French counterpart Emanuel Macron will hold a meeting today Monday at Ittihadiya presidential palace in Heliopolis.

The two presidents will also attend a business dinner with a big number of businessmen to discuss ways to enhance joint economic cooperation.

The talks are scheduled to discuss all the regional issues concerned with Egypt and France in particular.

The two presidents are set to discuss all ways aim to promote strategic partnership between Egypt and France in the security field، illegal immigration and the Libyan file.

The duo will also discuss means of strengthening the strategic partnership at all levels، as well as issues of mutual interest and means of strengthening bilateral relations، especially military cooperation.
