Skoda has confirmed that their new small SUV will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March، UK CarWow reported.
A new Skoda SUV will be revealed at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show this March، ahead of going on sale in 2020، CarWow added.
According to CarWow، the new SUV will be the smallest in the Skoda range، fitting below the Kodiaq and Karoq. As such، it will be an alternative to sporty SUVs like the Citroen C3 Aircross and Mazda CX-3، which are £15،085 and £17،595، respectively. So، you can likely expect the 2020 Skoda to cost somewhere around £16،000.
The 2020 Skoda SUV is expected to take a great deal from the firm’s current Fabia model. This – as well as similar options from the Volkswagen T-Roc alternative – means that the new car will at least come in S and SE trims. On the Fabia، the highlight of the entry-level S is its infotainment system، which includes a 6.5-inch display and Bluetooth connectivity. The SE trim is a bit more generous، featuring rear parking sensors، air conditioning and a DAB digital radio.
In the official photos، the 2020 Skoda SUV is shrouded in shadow like a Bond villain. Luckily، carwow has created its own render of what to expect from the car aesthetically. The front and sides are slated to be heavily reminiscent of Skoda’s earlier concept، the Fabia Vision X. The grooved bonnet and sleek grille and headlights all remain، as do the angular doors. There are differences though، like a raised ride height، additional lights and slimmer pillars at the rear for improved visibility.
Skoda has a reputation for making spacious and practical cars، so، despite this being Skoda’s smallest SUV، expect it to comfortably fit at least three adult-size passengers. The storage space should be good as well. The interior is also expected to be rather customisable، with a number of different colours available.
