Rotana to release Nawal El Zoghbi's new album on Valentine's Day

Lebanese superstar، Nawal El Zoghbi will release her new album in conjunction with Valentine's Day، which is set on February 14، after it was scheduled to be released early January، “Sada el Balad” learned.

Nawal decided on filming one song from the album as a music video، which will be the album’s main song، in addition to another clip.

El Zoghbi is collaborating on the music video with a Turkish director.

The album includes 10 songs، including 7 in Egyptian dialect، 2 in Lebanese dialect، and another in Iraqi.

The album comes in a new cooperation with Rotana records after 10 years of absence.

In this new album، she cooperated with a notable group of songwriters and prominent composers including Egyptian singer and composer، Amr Mostafa، for the first time.

The album will feature a song by the lyrics of Khaled Taj al-Din، and composted by Amr Mostafa.

Noteworthy، Nawal Al Zoghbi is a Lebanese pop vocalist. Performing in Arabic، she has a fan base throughout the Arab world has a following amongst Arab expatriates in North America and Europe.

Al Zoghbi began singing at an early age، her musical career has spanned over 25 years.

She achieved popularity first by singing traditional Arabic music with a pop sensibility، and later singing in the Gulf dialect، and also embracing newer trends in Arabian music.

She capitalised on the popularity of music videos in Arab pop music in the '90s، which propelled her to local stardom in the Arab world. Nawal has sold over 50 million albums.

Al Zoghbi began singing at an early age، despite familial opposition to the lifestyle of a musician. Members of her family changed their minds when they realized she was serious in her ambitions. In 1988 she participated in the Lebanese talent show Studio El Fan.

In 1990 she married Lebanese music manager Elie Deeb and went on to have three children with him. The couple legally separated in 2008 and Al Zoghbi waited three years for the Maronite Church to recognize their divorce.

In late 2009، Al Zoghbi was granted custody of her three children and in March 2011، her divorce was officially legalized.
