President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi held talks with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz Monday afternoon at the Federal Chancellery of Austria. During the meeting، Al-Sisi and Kurtz discussed all ways to strengthen bilateral relations، especially in the field of trade and a number of regional and international issues of common concern، in addition to encouraging the largest Austrian companies to invest in Egypt.
President Sisi and the Austrian Chancellor are set to witness the signing of a number of joint memorandums of understanding covering the fields of higher education، investment and communications.
The Egyptian President is also scheduled to hold a press conference with the Kurz، followed by a meeting with the Spegyaker of Austria's National Council Wolfgang Sobotka، to discuss strengthening relations between the peoples of the two countries.
Dozens of Egyptians living in Austria gathered on Sunday in front of the Sisi’s residence in Vienna.
President Sisi will deliver a speech on Egypt's vision to push forward development efforts in Africa since the country will chair the African Union (AU) in 2019.
Regarding bilateral relations between Egypt and Austria، the president's visit will include meetings with a number of politicians، senior officials and investors on furthering cooperation in trade، educational and scientific research، transport and investment domains.
