It’s only been a couple of weeks since the Jeep Gladiator pickup officially debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show، but now you can start picking out your next pickup on Jeep’s online configurator. Sure، you won’t be able to actually snag one of these until the second quarter of 2019، which translates to April at the earliest، but you can cruise through the configurator and get your spec sheet ready، AS THE Car News said.
The configurator doesn’t let you know how much your future Jeep pickup will cost -- that’s coming later -- but it should give you an idea of how much you can spend on your Gladiator. The first configurator page outlines the four different available models: Sport، Sport S، Overland and Rubicon. There are a couple of notable absences from the Wrangler lineup -- Safari and Moab -- but those might roll out later.
From there، you move to the powertrain، which is a relatively easy decision to make: There’s only one engine available. You still have to decide if you want to row your own gears or have them automatically shifted for you، and if you want to opt for the Trac-Lok rear differential (you should).
From the powertrain page forward، it becomes obvious how much money you can spend on one of these Jeeps. There are enough options to stretch the price far -- maybe even cresting $60K before it’s all said and done. It’ll be impossible to tell until Jeep officially releases pricing sometime next year، though.
