Mohamed Shaker، Minister of Electricity، said on Wednesday that the Egyptian electricity sector has gained many experiences in terms of policy، legislation، restructuring and studies of advanced technology for power plants. The Egyptian Electricity Sector is committed to working together with its Tanzanian counterpart in the implementation of the Stigler George dam project through the transfer of technology and the exchange of experiences and maximizing local participation، the minister added during signing the contract of Stigler-George dam project، being implemented by the Arab Contractors Company. The Arab Contractors Company implements the dam with all its stages in cooperation with one of the companies that will implement the power plant of the project. Noteworthy، Chairman of the Arab Contractors “Al Mokawloon Al Arab” company، Engineer Mohsen Salah، thanked president Abd Al Fattah Al Sisi for supporting the company to win the tender for Stiegler Gorge Dam Project in Africa. in a statement to Haza El Sabah program broadcasted on Extra News satellite channel، Salah said that That competition is fierce in the African market between Turkish and European companies، adding that the Egyptian experience in national projects was one of the most important factors to win the tender. He pointed out that the project is a huge work that includes several projects that aim to generate energy. Salah pointed out that the company will start implementation within a month، especially that the President Sisi will lay the foundation stone for this project.
