Trade exchange volume between Egypt, China hits $ 11 billion in 2017: Minister

Eng. Amr Nassar, Minister of Trade and Industry said that the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and China reached $11 billion dollars in 2017
He pointed out that there are 1079 Chinese companies operating in Egypt in various fields and sectors of investment، notably the industrial sector، telecommunications and information technology and the development of economic zones.
This came during a press statement on the sidelines of the opening of the Egyptian-Chinese Trade and Investment Exhibition and Conference، which was held today and ends tomorrow، in the presence of Dr. Essam Sharaf، former Egyptian Prime Minister Song Iguha، Manager of the Egyptian-Chinese Trade Center.
On the level of regional cooperation، Nassar said that Egypt was one of the first countries to sign a joint cooperation agreement with China within the framework of the road and belt initiative announced by the Chinese president in 2013 for land and sea links between the continents of Asia، Europe and Africa.
This came as Egypt believes in the importance of the initiative in supporting and revitalizing economic cooperation between the countries of the belt and the road in particular ،and the global economy in general.
