Egypt opens first biogas power plant in the Middle East

Egypt opened on Monday the first biogas power plant in the Middle East، with investments of LE 100 million.
Dr. Abdalhameed Taha، Governor of Kafr Al-Sheikh، Eng. Mamdouh Raslan، Chairman of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater opened the mega project.
The governor said the plant produces 2 megawatts of electricity، Taha said
“The power will be produced from biogas produced from sludge from sewage waste،” the governor added.
“We will apply the experiment in 7 stations in Kfar-Sheikh،” he said.
