Prominent businessman Mohamed Abul Enein، Honorary Speaker of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliament،، and Chairman of the Egyptian-European Business Council said on Thursday that there is a great opportunity for Egyptian products in various fields in China، pointing out to the government’s support for exporting of Egyptian products to China.
These remarks came during Abul Enein’s participation in the at the World Travel Market (WTM)، which was held in the UK from November 5-7.
In a report published by Sada El-Balad TV satellite channel، Abul Enein added that Egypt has many industries that are exported to many countries especially in Africa.
He pointed out that there is a special Chinese industrial zone in Egypt، at Ain Sukhna area، through which about 1560 Chinese companies export their products to Africa and to the local market.
Abul Enein added that Egypt’s imports from China exceed its exports from it، anticipating an increase in Egypt’s exports during the coming period.
Abul-Enein pointed out that there has been remarkable progress in the Egyptian-Chinese relations. He said that a number of agreements، worth more than $18 bilionn، were signed in the recent meeting held between Egyptian and Chinese، adding that the new Silk Road، which passes through African، Asian countries and Europe is a great project and will achieve marvelous success.
