Minister of Tourism، Rania Al-Mashat met with her Bulgarian counterpart Nikolina Angelkova to discuss ways of cooperation between the two countries in the coming period.
Al-Mashat welcomed Nikolina Angelkova at the Egyptian pavilion participating in the London International Tourism Exchange.
The Bulgarian Minister expressed her desire to visit Egypt، and agreed with Al Mashat to arrange heading a delegation of senior tour operators in Bulgaria to visit Egypt soon.
Angelkova pointed out to the desire of investors in her country to invest in tourism in Egypt. In this regard، Al Mashat confirmed the existence of many tourism investment opportunities، especially in the Red Sea and the northern coast، noting that Egypt gave a great interest to tourism.
She added that the ministry is in the process of establishing a hotel development fund that contributes to the development of the hotel sector in Egypt. It aims to help hotels facing difficulties by attracting local and foreign investments.
The Bulgarian Minister of Tourism expressed her interest in this idea، pointing out her desire to establish a similar entity in her country; to support the hotels.
Al Mashat reviewed the features of the new promotional plan for Egyptian tourism and the structural reform program for the Egyptian tourism sector which will be launched by the ministry from the through the Parliament at the end of November.
