Sharm El Sheikh airport receives on Thursday the first tourist group coming from Azerbaijan. Egypt and Azerbaijan launched a direct air link between Sharm el-Sheikh and Baku on Thursday to boost transport، increase trade exchange and develop economic ties between the two countries.
Last October، Governor of South Sinai Major General Khaled Fouda uncovered that there are great attempts to develop the air traffic coming to Sharm El-Sheikh by opening new airlines to help flow the tourists to the province.
He announced، it was agreed with the Azerbaijani officials، that the first direct flights between Azerbaijan and Sharm El-Shiekh would be run on November 8.
Fouda added that there is a global interest in Sharm el-Sheikh city، pointing out that it will be included within the cities seeking peace conference، scheduled to be held in Hiroshima، Japan.
