Egypt’s tax revenues hit EGP 115.9 bln in Q1 of 2018-19 FY

Head of Egypt's Tax Authority Emad Sami said on Wednesday that Egypt’s tax revenues hit EGP 115.9 billion in the first quarter of fiscal year 201819، an increase of EGP 8 billion above the target.

This came during a meeting with the members of the Planning and Budget Committee at the House of the Representatives.

Sami added that there was an increase of EGP 8 billion in tax revenues in Q1 of FY 201819 compared to the same period the previous year.

Sami added that the current tax revenues are divided into EGP 48.8 billion from income taxes and EGP 67.1 billion from the value-added tax.
