First Egyptian logistic center to be established in Russia: Nikolai Aslanov

Acting Russian trade representative in Cairo Nikolai Aslanov said that Tatarstan president’s visit to Cairo aims at increasing economic and trade exchange volume between the two countries.

Addressing “Egyptian-Tatari business council forum”، Aslanov lauded the Government Economic Ministerial Committee role in holding several meetings during the last period to support the bilateral relations، which resulted in the signing of several agreements، such as the establishment of a Russian industrial zone on the territory of Egypt، as well as increasing cooperation between the Egyptian companies and their Russian counterpart.

Moreover، he noted that the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Russia reached $6.7 billion in 2017.

Meanwhile، he noted that the Russian investments in Egypt reached $5 billion، most of which concentrated in Oil، Gas and petrol industries field.

He also added that there is a Russian-Egyptian cooperation to establish the first Egyptian logistic center in Russia that would help in increasing the trade exchange volume between both countries.

Noteworthy، President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi arrived on Monday in Russia’s Capital، Moscow in a three-day official visit.

According to the Presidency Official spokesman، Ambassador، Bassam Radi، the program of al-Sisi’s visit includes a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The two presidents are expected to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations at all levels. Apart from that، the sides "will continue consultations and coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest within the framework of strategic partnership between Egypt and Russia with an aim of further strengthening and expanding cooperation،" he said.

The Egyprian president’s spokesman also said that al-Sisi plans to meet with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and a number of other Russian high-ranking officials. The Egyptian president is also expected to speak at Russia’s Federation Council upper parliament house.
