Lieut. Gen. Younis Al-Masry، Minister of Civil Aviation، confirmed that a satellite network will be established to upgrade aerial navigation in Egypt. He added that the planned network will use the latest technologies in the field، especially communications، navigation and radars. He revealed that the satellite network consists of a central station at the Cairo Air Navigation Center، along with 21 satellite stations in the external sites across the country.
The minister went on to say that the ministry's plan to develop air navigation systems and communications aims to control of the Egyptian airspace thoroughly. The ministry also to establish of a new satellite network within the framework of upgrading the civil aviation sector.
