Dr Khalid El Enany، Minister of Antiquities، and Dr Nabila Makram، State Minister of Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad، opened today cemetery of the Sixth Pharaonic Dynasty at Sakkara، about 15 km south to Giza. Dr Zahi Hawwas، former- Minister of Antiquities and reporters representing various local and world media outlets attended the ceremony of opening that cemetery. It is worth to mention that the Sixth Dynasty of ancient Egypt (notated Dynasty VI) along with Dynasties III، IV and V constitute the Old Kingdom of Dynastic Egypt.
The pharaohs of this dynasty ruled for approximately 164 years. The Horus names and names of the Queens are taken from Dodson and Hilton، famous volumes on Ancient Egypt.
